Pillar Mould Soy PM7

Durability and Consistency.

Pillar Mould Soy PM7

Our newly formulated Pillar Mould Soy PM7 is a blend of soy, refined beeswax, and paraffin wax – a combination of three different types of wax all with unique properties.

Soy is a natural wax made from soybean oil and is known for its clean burn and eco-friendliness. Beeswax is another natural wax made from bees and refined from colour and the smell of honey to accommodate the addition of fragrance and colour. Paraffin is a petroleum-based wax and is known for its versatility, and ability to hold fragrance.

When blended together, the resulting product would have a mix of all the exceptional properties of each wax – a combination to allow for a clean burn, added durability for preserving its shape, as well as fragrance retention better than pure soy alone. Designed specifically by ASW and our technical lab for the use of pillars, moulds and melts.

This wax is in pellet form.

Some of the unique features of our Pillar Mould Soy PM7 are:

  • Ideal for melts, pillars and moulds

  • Shrinkage properties to allow for easier removal from moulds

  • Wax is robust and smooth to retain and hold it’s shape of any pillar, mould or melt

  • Durable wax with longer burn time

  • Anti sweating properties

  • A higher fragrance tolerance 8-10%^

  • Great colour retention

Our Recommendation

PM7 is suitable for usage by candle makers of all levels of experience. Its durability and higher melting temperature means it suits market traders perfectly and its smooth surface plus its amazing scent throw also means your finished pillar candles and moulds will stand out on any retail shelf.

We suggest you take extra care preparing the pouring conditions of your candles and to always run a test in those conditions before mass producing any of your candle ranges.

Please note all the above recommendations are based on our own testing and our lab finding. Your own testing is a must for accurate results.

Consistency

It is widely recognised that performance consistency is the foundation of any great wax. Once your ideal fragrance ratio has been identified through your own testing, the Pillar Mould Soy PM7 will not disappoint. We believe this wax is the most durable soy based wax available on the market. Other waxes tend to sweat and even excrete oil when the temperature rises due to the wax expanding and needed to escape. One of the unique traits of this wax is the ability to resist sweat, resulting in a gorgeous, smooth burn and non greasy surface.

Anti-Sweat & SHRINKAGE

Another trait unique to PM7 is it’s anti sweat capability and shrinkage properties.

PM7 has been developed firm enough so that even in harsh heat or light, the wax wont expand to release excess oil. It’s ability to shrink when fully set allows for easy removal from moulds.

This blend is our most durable wax. It will give 5X times the burn time if correctly wicked, with less drip or mess than other pillar waxes on the market – we guarantee you'll love working with it!

Scent throw

While scent-throw is also dictated by the percentage and the strength of difference fragrances, the wax used to make the candle still has a large impact on hot and cold scent throw. Being a blended wax – PM7 contains a percentage of premium grade paraffin oil which is far superior than soy for retaining fragrance and fusing oil with wax, this results in an amazing hot and cold scent throw.

Fragrance

Through our testing - many fragrance and essential oils work with PM7, and it is our most durable and forgiving blend. It would be impossible for us to test every single fragrance compatibility so what we suggest is trialling to find what works best for you.

The maximum fragrance load we would recommend is 12% but of course this depends on your fragrance as strength, and potency varies between oils.

Appearance

The inspiration to launch All Seasons Wax Co stemmed from the demand in the market for a range of waxes which perform consistently despite changing conditions. Our range includes blends which perform best in warmer climates (preventing sweating and oil excretion) to blends which are designed to resist frosting and wax shrinkage.

Shelf Life & Burn Time

Our waxes have all been designed and developed with consistency and stability in mind. Whilst burn time is heavily controlled by the size of the jar and the wick, across the board with All Seasons Wax you can expect consistency.

As this blend of wax is new we can only guarantee +12 month shelf life for candles produced with PM7, however you can expect a stable and attractive shelf life of around 3 years.
